David joined Rock Fitness in 2020 after a 5-year journey back to fitness, drawn by the intensity of the workouts and variety of skills. His wife, Ashley, and their two teenage sons joined in 2021. When the opportunity arose to keep the gym open in 2022, the family embraced it together.

 

A registered nurse with 20 years of experience, David has seen the toll poor health takes on individuals and families. He’s driven to help others reach their health goals, believing that fitness boosts confidence, energy, and mental well-being. He strives daily to grow as a person, father, husband, and coach.

Certifications: CrossFit Level 1 Trainer, The Gymnastics Course

 

Favorite movements: Deadlifts, Power Cleans, and Toes-to-Bar

Natalie Moncrief

Natalie, a mother of four teenagers, enjoys outdoor activities, live music, and traveling. Growing up active, she was inspired by her parents' fitness habits and played softball through high school and college. A competitor at heart, she has completed numerous races, triathlons, obstacle challenges, and fitness competitions, striving to be a role model for healthy living.

After hitting a fitness plateau in 2017, she joined Rock Fitness, where she found new challenges. The training program at Rock Fitness provided a whole new set of goals to achieve...ultimately taking her fitness to the next level. She's passionate about the Rock Fitness community and has been helping members reach their fitness goals since becoming part of the coaching staff in 2018.

Cortney joined Rock Fitness at the beginning of 2021, looking to improve her fitness and feel stronger and healthier. She’s loved every minute since! Beyond getting fitter, she’s gained more confidence, energy, and overall happiness. Having grown up playing sports, Cortney enjoys the camaraderie and friendly competition that Rock Fitness brings into her life.

In addition to coaching at the gym, Cortney works at an elementary school and coaches volleyball at a local middle school. She is married (her husband is also a Rock Fitness member), and they have two teenage sons. Much of her free time is spent watching them play sports. Cortney is thrilled to be part of the coaching staff and looks forward to encouraging and supporting each member on their journey to better health and fitness.

Passionate about fitness since the age of 12, Maya transitioned seamlessly from athlete to coach at Rock Fitness in 2022. As a dedicated fitness enthusiast, she continually pushes her limits both in the gym and in life. With a combination of athleticism and coaching expertise, Maya is committed to inspiring and guiding others on their transformative fitness journeys.

Maya infuses her Fitness Friday classes with vibrant energy and enthusiasm, setting a dynamic tone for the workout. Her commitment to high movement standards ensures that each session is both exhilarating and effective, making fitness an engaging and rewarding experience for everyone involved.
