Owner/Coach 

David Mills

David joined the Rock Fitness team as a member in 2020 after a 5+ year journey back to fitness. The intensity of the workouts, variety of skills, and opportunity to move barbells again had him hooked. Fitness became a family affair once his wife and two teenage sons started attending classes in June 2021. His two daughters now can be found swinging on ropes and creating obstacle courses with gym equipment. The Rock Fitness family welcomed the Mills family into their tribe and is supportive of everyone seeking better health. David is excited to lead the community forward starting in March 2022.

 David has worked in the nursing and health care industry for 20 years. He has seen the costly impact that disease and poor health has on individuals and families. He is motivated to help others achieve their health and life goals. His personal experience is that better fitness leads to more confidence, energy, and improved mental wellness. Gains in these areas all support his goal to strive daily to improve as a person, father, husband, and coach.

Natalie Moncrief 

Natalie is married and raising 4 teenagers. She enjoys outdoor activities, listening to live music, and traveling. She has always led an active lifestyle. Growing up she watched her mom teach aerobics classes (sometimes inconspicuously working out in the back of the room) and her dad play baseball. Natalie enjoyed playing softball from little league through high school, and intramurally in college. Natalie has a competitive spirit and enjoys challenging herself and learning new things. She has participated in numerous races: 5k-half marathons, triathlons, Spartan and Tough Mudder obstacle course challenges, and functional fitness competitions. She strives to be a role model for healthy living for her family and friends.

 In 2017, Natalie reached a plateau with her fitness and decided to join the Rock Fitness team. The training program at Rock Fitness provided a whole new set of goals to achieve...ultimately taking her fitness to the next level. She's passionate about the Rock Fitness community and has been helping members reach their fitness goals since becoming part of the coaching staff in 2018.

Coach 

Scott Clark 

Scott considers himself blessed with a wonderful family. He and his wife Alyssa have been married 20 plus years and have four children together. He has been a Firefighter Paramedic for 20 years and is currently a full time Fire Captain and Paramedic in Sacramento county. One of his biggest successes on the job has been working with leaders in the nation on cardiac arrest treatment.  New treatment techniques  have improved advanced level resuscitation performance and survival rates in his jurisdiction. 
Scott enjoys hiking, boating, and hanging out with friends and family in the backyard and pool. He loves playing ice hockey and is on two teams in Roseville. Scott has competed in several functional fitness comps and loves throwing it all out there. 
Scott considers himself in the best shape of his life thanks to functional fitness.  He believes that it's an awesome way to improve fitness for all levels of ability.  Scott is excited to be coaching at Rock fitness. He hopes to be a part of our athletes improving their sport and fitness level.

      Cortney Marlette

Coach 

Wanting to improve her level of fitness and feel stronger and healthier, Cortney joined Rock Fitness at the beginning of 2021 and has loved every minute of it since! Along with improving her fitness she has developed more confidence, energy and overall happiness. Cortney grew up playing sports and loves the team camaraderie and friendly competitive spirit Rock Fit brings into her life. Along with coaching at the gym, Cortney works at an elementary school and is also a volleyball coach at a local middle school. 

Cortney is married (her husband is a member too) and has two teenage sons. Most of her free time is spent watching them play sports. Cortney is very excited to be a part of the coaching staff and looks forward to encouraging, supporting and helping each member on their journey to better health and fitness.

Maya Erwin
Coach

 

Passionate about fitness since the age of 12, Maya seamlessly transitioned from athlete to coach at Rock Fitness

in 2022. As a dedicated fitness enthusiast, Maya consistently pushes her boundaries in the gym and in life. With

a blend of athleticism and coaching expertise, Maya is here to inspire and guide others on their transformative

fitness journeys.
